Adobe Photoshop Elements

Consumer photo editing and page layout software

ImagePhotoshop Elements is Adobe's consumer level photo editing and image layout software application. Priced at a modest $99, it is ideal for hobbyists and scrapbookers wanting to create advanced layouts.

If you use this application or have tried it we would love to have your comments so others get the benefit of your experience.

FAQ: If I use Photoshop Elements to edit my photos, which are saved throughout the entire process in TIFF format. How can I ensure that my image files are indeed in RGB and not CMYK?

Try the Image>mode option. You should see an image pull down menu, then mode, then either RGB or CMYK.

Page size and output

by Andrea, Mon 07 of Mar, 2011 (21:22 UTC)
I am trying to create pages in PSE 8 and upload them to VIOVIO. What pixel dimensions should I create my pages in for a 12.5x10 book? And how many pixels around this frame should I keep clear?

Also when I create a page in PSE, it looks perfect, I save it as 300dpi and when I upload it to VIOVIO the preview puts a white pixelated shadow around my text and some graphs. Will it print this way or come out as I see on PSE? Any way to print out a test page with you?

Thanks

Andrea.

Greetings from viovio and thanks for your interest. In order to get a nice crisp picture, your images should be at 300dpi.

If the resolution is higher than 300dpi your upload is soooo much slower and the printer may choke trying to process the file which will be very large and the print resolution won't be better than 300dpi.

So more trouble for no more crispness in the printed images.

Send in a note to support@viovio with your user i.d and we'll take a look for you and see what's going on :)
