Requirements

Viovio requires 2 seperate files to create your book, 1 file for the covers and 1 file for the interior pages. This is because during printing, the covers and the interior are printed seperately, and then bound at the end of production. If you have the cover and interior as one file, this is fine, just choose the proper cover options below. If you have individual PDF files for each page of your book, upload them to a gallery, and use the Viovio Book Designer to generate a complete book.

It is crucial you understand our PDF requirements when uploading a PDF file. Your PDF must:

  • Embed All Fonts
  • Have no trim marks
  • Have all passwords and encryption removed (your PDF will not be publicly accessible)
  • Can be any size. If it is not one of our current sizes, we will auto-scale it for you.
Product Title
Interior Book Color
Full Color - Photo books, comics, graphic novels, etc.
Monochrome - Traditional books, black and white text, not suitable for images
The cover for all books are full color.
Front Cover
You must specify the front cover for your book. Check here for more info about setting up your cover.
First page of uploaded PDF is the front cover image. This will remove the page from the interior of the book and will shift your pages.
Upload a separate cover file. This can be a just the front cover, or a full wrap image.You may not yet know the exact size that your full-wrap-cover PDF image needs to be. We will calculate that for you once you've uploaded your Interior PDF file. While you must supply some file here to proceed, you can provide a dummy file for now and replace it later (on the next page), once you know exactly how big the full-wrap-cover image should be.

Back Cover
No back cover image. You will be given the option of a solid color for your back cover in step 2.
Second page of uploaded PDF is the back cover image. This will remove the page from the book and will shift the pages.
Last page of uploaded PDF is the back cover image. This will remove the page from the PDF.
Upload a separate back cover image file.
Interior PDF File
Select the PDF file that contains your inside of book. If your PDF contains cover pages, use the cover options below, and the pages will be removed from your text. Be careful about your page alignment.
