Processing time?

by Andrew Healy, Wed 24 of Apr, 2013 (19:41 UTC)
Hi,

How long does it take to create a photobook form the time it is sent to you until it arrives at my door?

Hi Andrew,

Great question. Manufacturing time runs from 4-7 business days for softcover books, and 5-10 business days for hardcover books.

You will receive an automatically generated email with your order that offers you an estimate on that order's manufacturing time. Depending on the current volume of production we may print faster or slower than our estimated times, however it is rarely slower.

As with all production companies manufacturing precedes shipping on all orders. You can therefore select the shipping that will best accomplish your deadline. For the most reliable shipping option we suggest going with FedEx as your carrier.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail us at support@viovio.com!

Warm regards,

1. When I click on the link at:

http://www.viovio.com/help/14x11+Portfolio+Book

to create an 11x14 book, I get this link, with pull-down options which begins with "Photo Book>> Landscape>> 4x3 (US Letter) and does not show 11x14 in the pull-down list

http://www.viovio.com/designer/?ratio_id=1

2. If my images are (all) sized to 11x14, will VioVio do any cropping for this book or will I get full-bleed automatically with full image?

Thanks You

Rick Decker

Black-and-White photographs

by Thomas Artin, Tue 19 of Mar, 2013 (19:29 UTC)
When uploading a PDF of a book of black-and-white photographs, which color space yields the best reproduction at the printing end: grayscale, CMYK, or RGB?

If you want a true black and white book, you should not have a single color element on your page, even if it is invisible. Definitely go with greyscale.

Hope this helps!

Ashley, I am so sorry you are having trouble! First, please be sure you are running the latest version. When you say it's deleting pages, are you exiting the app and logging back in and finding pages missing? Please describe the issue in more detail so we can assist you.

When exporting the book, you should leave the app open and running until it has completed uploading.

If you continue to experience these issues, please contact us at support@viovio.com.

I am running the latest version. Every time I try to export the app shuts off. I tried restarting the app and my iPad. It deletes my pages randomly. Once I was working on the latest page and it deleted my front cover. Another time I had 52 pages done, and I went to my library and opened my book again and the pages were there. I exited the app and the next day I opened the app and I only had 33 pages!!!! It also keeps saying that my devise is running out of space but I still have 12gb left ... Is it posable to combine different books into one??? I really want to print my book here. So if making a few min books and combine them so I don't loss pages I will. I need this to work because ill be doing this every year and I don't feel like have trouble. Deleted pages is the biggest problem.
