Since every photo book is different, we have a simple formula to determine each book's price:

Base Cost + (Number of Pages * Page Cost) = Cost of Photo Book

Example for a 20 page perfect bound softcover book:
$4.99 + (20 * $.25) = $9.99

NOTE: each side of a piece of paper is one page — just like a novel.

Hi,

I was just hoping to get some clarification. Do the black and white "text" books come in just black on white or do they include shades of grey (if I were to want to include black and white photos). Thank you!

Great question, Aubrey! As long as your images are greyscale, that will be fine. There is a great section on black and white printing here: http://www.viovio.com/help/Color+Specs.

5x5 Photo Book

Hi,
I wanted to double check how the 2-pack pricing worked for the 5x5 photo book. The quick quote asks for copies ordered. I am thinking that for every "copy ordered" it is two actual books since it is a two pack. Please let me know if this is accurate.

Jennie, hello!

This is correct - every 2-pack contains 2 books per "copy" / every 3-pack contains 3 books per "copy."

So if you are wanting 10 books total, ordering the 5x5 2-pack, then you would enter "5 copy's" into the price calculator to get the proper price quote!

Currently the smallest size "text" book that we offer is 5.5"x8.5".

Layflat - No 11 x 8.5"!

Why cant I choose the layflat option in the 11 x 8.5 landscape? It only appears to be availabe in 8.5 x 11 portrait. Will you be adding the 11 x 8.5 landscape in the future?

The New Seamless Layflat option is available at a Portrait 3:2 however if the pages are created as spreads the interior will function as a Landscape! It is currently only offered 1 size. You can read all about it here: http://www.viovio.com/wiki/index.php?page=seamless+layflat+photo+book

PDF vs. uploading pictures directly

Does the photo quality diminish if I upload as a PDF from iPhoto rather than uploading my pictures directly to Viovio?

Not at all! A PDF from iPhoto will print with all the clarity as the images you upload.
