Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival at Night.

Apache in Korea

Apache in Korea

There were several entertainment groups in Jinhae during the 10 day long Cherry Blossom Festival, including an Apache Troop. They played some awesome Apache music with drums and pan flutes. I caught a few good images, including this one with his headdress backlit by the sun.

Which Way is Up

Which Way is Up

I took this image from inside a stone monument looking up at the sky. By turning the image to landscape mode and adding the gull, I found it to be an interesting study on perspective.

A Girl and Her Dad Painted

A Girl and Her Dad Painted

The same image as my previous post, but as an oil painting on canvas.

PyoChungSa Dragon3

PyoChungSa Dragon3

Another Dragon at PyoChungSa Buddhist Temple, Miryang, Korea.

Autumn at the Temple

Autumn at the Temple

It's autumn at the temple and there's love in the air. This was taken at Pyo-Chung-Sa, a temple in the city of Miryang. The young couple just happened to walk by at the right time. They were taking photos of each other with the colors as a back drop. Here they are checking the playback screen on the camera.

Bridges-to-JeoDo

Bridges-to-JeoDo

The old single lane bridge and the new "Gull Wing" bridge to JeoDo Island on the south end of Masan City as seen from the top of a nearby mountain. Image was taken from a tripod; I waited until a boat appeared in the right spot. I did not have enough patience to wait for the seagull and the boat together so he was added from another image I took earlier.

Tail Light Trail

Tail Light Trail

A long exposure on the well lit mountain road to Anmin Pass. I waited until a single car drove by to catch this image.

Tiger Guard

Tiger Guard

One of two stone tigers guarding the entrance to Sam-Mil Sa, a Buddhist temple in Jinhae. I removed the uninteresting background and replaced it with an image of colored lights that I had taken earlier, modified using the 'circle splash' filter in CS5 from PixelBender.

Jinhae

Jinhae

It was such a beautiful day today that I decided to hike to the top of one of the mountain peaks in Jinhae. This is a shot of Jinhae with Jinhae Bay off to the left and my apartment amongst the group of highrise apartments on the right side of the image near the center. My feet are complaining right now from the 4 hour trek, but they'll get over it!

Sunset Photography

Sunset Photography

There was a very colorful sunset last week, so I decided to get a shot from a wooden deck at the Jinhae Bay. I wasn't the only one who had that thought. This photographer was trying to hand hold his camera; he stayed still enough for me to get this shot at a 0.8 second exposure

A view of a small section of the city of Changwon from across Yongji Lake. The Hotel "Avenue" can be seen on the left with the V missing from its marquee.

End of the Day

A shot just as a Fisherman and his son decided to call it a day - Bay of jinhae, Korea.

Miles to go before we sleep

Miles to go before we sleep

Another sunset image over Jinhae Bay. I took the shot of a flock of migratory birds at the Junam Reservoir in Changwon, a protected sanctuary for many types of birds, and blended it with the sunset.

Help

by Dennis, 25 Mar 2008 (13:35 UTC)
Joe, I stumbled across this website/gallery. I'm interested in presenting simple family photos in a more dynamic way using photoshop elements. Do you have any tutorials so I can create similar presentations? Any resources you can provide would be helpful. THanks. Dennis

Hi Dennis,
We have a forum of Elements and Photoshop users associated with these galleries and also sponsored by PrestoPhoto , located at http://www.photoshopcreativeelements.com where many of us share comments, tutorials and general creations of our own. Why don't you join us there? There is also a whole series of over 200 video tutorials and on line training seminars on http://www.photoshopelementsusers.com. The videos are free, but the online training costs a nominal amount. Thanks for the comments on my Gallery.
