Coming north from Patcauro through the colonial cities of San Miguel de Allende and Guanaquato, then up the west coast, entering the US at Oregon Pipe Catcus Park in Arizona.
Passenger ferry to Isla Janitzio
The town of Janitzio completely covers the small island in the middle of Lake Patcauro.

In the mid '40s, a new volcano formed in the middle of a corn field. Over a period of 9 years the volcano's lava beds buried the fields and villages of this furtile valley.

San Carlos is a small resort town on the Sea of Cortez (mainland side) near Guaymas, Sanora.

We camped in a very funkly RV park right in the middle of the desert about 1km back from the beach. This is looking NE from the hill above the campsite.

Mexico 2 ........ Lo de Marcos to Patzcuaro
From the small town of Lo de Marcos, just north of Puerto Vallarta, we headed down the coast to Malege and then inland over the Sierra Madre to the butterfly sancuary and Patzcuaro.
