Do you print hardcover books?

We do print a variety of hardcover books 8.5x8.5, 8.5x11, 12.5x10, 11x8.5. Not all are the casewrap covers so here is our page on trim sizes so you can view how the covers will look for each option.

Can one print a hardcover book created on iLife '08 through viovio? If not what versions of iLife does viovio support for printing books?

You can just use your iPhoto PDF. We have several creators who use iPhoto to create the PDF and then upload the PDF to Viovio for printing. I would use a theme with a white background.

I say that because we recommend that your file be .25 larger than the final trim size for bleed. The iPhoto file is exactly 11x8.5, so if you have a dark background then when we trim your book you may see a tiny bit of white on the sides.

Hi I've got an MacBook Pro with iLife '08. I've created a nice hardcover book in iPhoto and I really would like to have it printed. The problem is that directly ordering books from iPhoto is not yet supported in Poland. Is it possible to order such a book in Your company and have it sent to Poland?

best regards

We do ship around the world. Ship time and cost depend on ship to address, weight of package and ship method selected. Thus, it is not possible to provide an accurate ship cost. Typically, you could expect to pay approximately $6 - $10 for shipping for one book within the US. However, that is a rough estimate.

On this page we do offer a ship cost estimator

You would need to select the "Get a shipping quote right now" link. This quote is based on 1 40-page book so it is not accurate for say 500 books but it will give you a sense of the cost.

If your order total is over $30.00 we offer a flat rate ship cost of $4.99 for international shipping and $1.99 for domestic. This is a very slow ship method so don't use it if you are on a deadline. If time is not an issue then you may consider that option.

Viovio does ship internationally, (I have friends in Japan, the UK and Australia that have used them) so I don't see why they couldn't ship to you.

Hi Raquel,

For an order that large, we definitely recommend your purchase a single copy as a proof. In fact, we have lots of customers that will order a few proofs, before placing a large order.

If you would like a sample, we might have a few spare print error's lying around... send a note to support@viovio.com and let them know the size and quantity of book you are interested in purchasing.

Photobook Covers

by Chaya, Wednesday 12 of December, 2007 [01:07:42 UTC]
I find that they are very delicate and need to be protected at all times. Do you have a cover or box to go with the photobooks? Right now mine is being protected by a Fedex envelope since I got rid of the box it came with. I didn't think i would need it. I think these photobooks deserve something nicer than a regular cardboard box or a fedex envelope. Please let me know if you have anything for it. Thanks.
