Viovio created a unique process that converts your online photo galleries into beautiful, perfect bound, full-color books. These make great mementos, gifts, and portfolios. And, we offer very affordable ship options and delivery times.

General Information

How much do they cost?

For exact pricing on each trim size please see our Product Catalog. In general, for softcover books the base price for creation, set up and binding is $4.99, then each page costs $.25. For example, a 20 page photo book will cost $9.99 and a huge 100 page photo book will only cost $29.99! The price is the same regardless of the book size you choose, or if you full bleed the pictures or not. For more details, see Photo Book Pricing

How big are they?

We offer several trim sizes. Check out our Book Binding Specifications page.

What do the pages look like?

The interior paper has a satin feel (you can select photo silk if you prefer). Print quality is outstanding! Colors in your printed book will look different than images on your screen because there is a difference between ink colors and screen colors.

What do the covers look like?

The covers are beautiful. They are full color, laminated on heavy coverstock paper, and the binding is "perfect bound." Our photo books look just like a soft-bound coffee table book you would find at your local book store.

Why should I choose Viovio to create my Photo Book?

See how Viovio's Photo Books compare to My Publisher and Buzznet.com.

How big do my photos need to be for Photo Books?

The minimum recommended size for Photo Books is 2 megapixels (1600x1200). However, the larger the image, the more crisp the photo book pages will appear. A 4 or 5 megapixel image will create a beautiful, full page print for all photo book sizes. Going to even higher resolutions has a small noticeable increase in quality.

I printed a book through LULU.com and now i am looking for a more professional quality- i want a "photo paper quality" book. i didnt like how it looked like it was printed digitally- a little spotty is ok, but i was quite dissapointed in the quality- how would you say your quality compares (as compared to an actual printed picture)?

Well your timing is perfect. We almost ready to open beta testing with a partner site to do scan images! Hopefully, we will have everything ready this week and will we need a few folks to test the service. If you are interested in being a tester (try things out) please send a note to support@viovio.com

Production time depends on the trim size you select.

Soft cover books require 4 business days for production.
Die-cut hardcovers require 5 business days.
Casewrap hardcovers require 14 business days.

Melissa, I know we discussed this through support but I thought other members may be interested in your question also. You know you could do it either way. The easiest way would be to simply upload your images to Viovio and use our book maker to create the book layout. However, if you want the most control you can get very creative with Photoshop.

If you haven't used Photoshop before then I would recommend just letting our software do it for you. In case you decide to create your own pdf, here are a few links from the site about creating a pdf
