Which size is best?

When people ask which size is best, there really isn't a good answer because each mini book has its own strengths and uses. It is really up to you. Have fun with the different sizes. Though I think my personal favorite is the 3.75x2.5 It is the smallest size which is part of its charm.

The possibilities are endless

We see our mini book as the perfect brag book for parents and grandparents or a great way to share your wedding with family and friends. Creating your personalized unique souvenir is also fun! They are capable of generating smiles for both creators and viewers by their insouciant appearance and fun-loving size.

NOTE: Mini books are small in size and large in fun!!! The minimum page count for the mini books is 20 and the maximum page count is 80, so if your page count is outside that range the minis won't display as a creation option.

We recommend you use the autocrop feature for your mini books.

Yes, just like Judy said you can upload .jpg files. I would also caution to keep important items away from the edge. We trim 1/8" and 1/8" is much more drastic on a 3x5 book than it would be on an 8.5x11 book.

Which size mini book are you looking at? I created books using the smallest size and they are small(but cute)! Just be careful that you can imagine what your page will look like on the size you've created. I would have put in larger text (it was like a comic book) and larger photos if I had to do it over again. But yeah, you can upload any old jpeg page you want to.

Square MiniBooks?

by liz, Thu 07 of Feb, 2008 (03:25 UTC)
I read that you are now offering some different square sized mini books, but cannot find those anywhere. Is my information wrong? Also, do I have to make by .jpgs the size of each book, e.g. 7x5, or can I keep them the size I have and then crop or center them?

Doesn't look like the square minibooks (which are 5x5 and 3.5x3.5) are on the spec page yet, but they are on the drop down menu under 12x12 which is a master page size when ordering. You can upload 12x12 jpeg pages and the software will automatically resize them for you.

But if you are specifically designing something for the mini size you might want to design in 5x5 so that it you will get a better feel for how it will look.

Thats one of the beauties of square format - changing the size is a snap since it is all the same aspect ratio. biggrin

Let's see, the smallest size is the 3.75x2.5 and it comes in a pack of 4. I'll give the pricing for one pack of 4 The base cost is $4.99 and the per page cost is .50. So for an 80 page book the cost would be $4.99 + (.5*80) = $44.99. The $44.99 is divided by 4 since you get 4 books. So your per book cost is $11.25
