Fiji

The Fiji Islands is a collection of over 300 islands lying in the beautiful South Pacific (Oceania) region.
Most of the island are still untouched which could be seen in Tom Hanks movie Cast Away...

Fiji has the capital city of Suva as its main port of entry for Trade and Commerce. Its international Airport, Nadi (Nandi) is situated about 200 km North West from the Capital City and is the main entry point for Tourists (Mainly Australians), who are Fiji's Main Income generator.

Fiji Gained independence from the British Colony in 1970, but British influence can still be observed in many areas.

Fiji's Culture and People are diverse. The main two ethnic groups are Indo-Fijians (Fijians of Indian (India) Decent brought over by the British during the Girmit Period and Native Fijians, both around 45% of the population.

Fiji contains one of the most culture rich and happy people of the world. Hence the phrase, "Friendly People". A phrase tourists use to describe Fiji to their their friends back home.
