Gingoog, the "City Of Good Luck" is situated on the northern coast of Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Region 10, Philippines, more particularly 122KM east of Cagayan de Oro City and 72KM west of Butuan City. Its estimated land area is 404 square-KM, bounded in the east by the municipality of Magsaysay and Agusan del Norte, in the south Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon and part of the municipality of Claveria, in the west by Balingasag and Medina and in the north by the scenic Gingoog Bay.
60% of the city's total land area are covered with forest timberland making Gingoog an ideal abode for wood processing investments.
Commerce and trading activities are moving toward growth and development resulting from the high influx of neighboring investors, especially from the booming Caraga region.
Gingoog City's people are known for their hospitality and industriousness. Generally they are living peacefully and family oriented. Traditional values are present in almost every home.
Gingoog City has a natural bounty of resources such as beaches, 8 notable waterfalls, making Gingoog also to the "City of Waterfalls", caves and challenging mountains which have become the site of tourist hikes and exploration among mountaineers from neighboring regions, from other parts of the country and meanwhile from abroad as well.
Gingoog is accessible 24/7 through public utility vehicles plying the Davao City - Cagayan de Oro City route.
Camiguin Island could be reached easily through ferries from the Balingoan port. Major air and sea ports are nearby in Cagayan de Oro, Butuan and Nasipit.
This group is not only meant for kanos or retired expats but for local pinays and pinoys as well. Business may be introduced, jobs could be offered, problems discussed, experiences shared, concerns voiced out, anything goes for as long as it is related to Gingoog City or to life anywhere in Philippine paradise.
Rules are very simple:
1.) Be friendly!
2.) No spam!
3.) Have fun!
