Before the war commenced in 1983 in Abiemnom town of Ruweng, people used buses, submarine ships and airoplanes as a main of transports. However, since the war erupted in this town of Abiemnom Ruweng county in 1982, people in this town had no longer came in contact with those main of transports because of tensions and big escalations of war going on in Abiemnom Ruweng County.

As the war continued, the poeple in this town of Abiemnom so called Ruweng, run to different jungles as up to now some of the other poeple are not even founded were they are or otherwise they may end up their life in death. In 1995, around 10,000 people of Ruweng were been reported founded abducted by the Arab invaders in Sudan,Capital Khartoum.
This is a kind of humiliation being placed by the government of Khartoum in order to depopulated the number of people living in this area and around the whole Southern Sudan. Until that time the Ruweng people didn't have an adequate of times to established and aggregated their societies since their absent for about 22 years away from their homeland Ruweng.

As the CPA(Comprehensive Peace Agreement) was signed on 01/09/2005, by the Late Dr John Garang, the leader of the SPLM/SPLA, and the Northern Sudan government, it signaled a very big kind of hope between the people in Northern part of Khartoum and those in the Southern part of sudan. As this peace was signed, number of people from different ethnics in Southern Sudan who fled to Northern part of Sudan are now started immigrating back to their original homelands.
About 30,000 people of Ruweng Abiemnom are reported by the IOM organization to be in Abiemnom Town of Ruweng. While some are on the way coming from Khartoum.

Aloor de Kuur de Kout was totally displaced by the militias from the northern sudan. thank God now there is CPA and they are back otherwise the area was taken over by Nuer of Mayom or Misseriya or Abyei-Ngok.

The great people call Aloor, are known of their vocal and because they are few in number they could not stand the atrocities of the militias.

What is not know of these people, is that they are artist or say they are very creative community who own a competitive heart. They have very good singers like Mr. Mario Bol, the Sudan Bob Marley. In the next fifteen years, if there is good leadership in Abiemnom, these people will be very were in Sudan.

THere is confusion! Ruweng county is Panrieng county of Panaruu. Abiemnom is Abiemnom county or Ruweng/Aloor de Kuur de Kuot sub clan of the greater Dinka/Jieeng.

The naming of Panaruu as Ruweng

by Augustino Mayath Dengkoi, Friday 26 of September, 2008 (01:50:06 UTC)
One of the first thing that I comment about it,is the joining of Panaruu to Ruweng county. I have never heard in my life that Panaruu are being call Ruweng since I had lived in Panaruu for about 2 consective years. It come to my attention when I heard those of panaruu people talking about Ruweng. What I really know about Ruweng is that, Ruweng is just a small region which is situated in Northwestern part of Unity State of Sudan. Ruweng chief was Kur Kuot according to what I really know so far about Ruweng. Also, Ruweng composes of just only six sub-clans namely:
-Mijuan
-Abaang
-Ngongchil
-Manteng
-Thiyeer
-Amaal
If for instance,Panaruu is Ruweng according the rumors I heard from other people around me and else where, then we should therefore have only one commissioner rather then having several commissioners in every counties. Abiemnom county, is the county of Aloor community(Ruweng),while Panrieng county is the county of Panaruu community. In this point, we shouldn't mess up things by calling Panaruu people as Ruweng or Ruweng people as Panaruu. Our original name was Dinka Padang. These includes, Ruweng(ALOOR),Paweny, Panaruu, Dongiol, Lual yak, and Jok.

Bravo Augustino. That is the story and it is just a recent confusion of both Aloor and Panaruu. But some times back in the history Panaruu-Aloor and Paweny were called so (Ruweng). still Aloor is Ruweng alone in late days, while Panaruu remain Panaruu of Panrieng

Well done

We as Ruweng people of Abiemnom county, we need a very conservative fair of leadership where by everyone of the people in every communities within Southern Sudan have to be call by its name according to the fair of leadership authority measures or practices.

Now it seem that other people are taking advantage on the other people for instance, some people call us Aloor which is not bad to me because Aloor is the name derived from Ruweng. But, on the other coins, people of Panaruu call themselves as Ruweng instead of Panaruu. I know everybody have his/her own nickname. The same thing too, Aloor is our nickname compared to the other people who have their nicknames. So, if Panaruu don't have a nickname, then they shouldn't have any authority to create any name on us. Panaruu is Panaruu in their place and Ruweng(Aloor) is Ruweng in their place. Also, we don't have anything like leadership to shares. I heard that a lot of people from Panaruu are trying to combined Ruweng(Aloor) to Parieng county which is not right.
