El Ocotal De Manto Olancho in Honduras is a little but warm tinny village lacated at north of Manto its people is very united where every one knows each other.mostly of its residents are known by theirs nicknames which is very commun in the small villages, the more communs are like: GATO, BALIN,LOBO,CUMBIA,TIGRON, CORDAVA,QUIKO,PELIGRO, LARGO,Ect....
It has beautifull mountains,hills and fruit trees most communs MANGO, COCO NUT, MARAÑON, TAMARINDO, GUAYABA,CIRHUELAS Etc..
In the Ocotal you can enjoy a temple weather where you can only see 2 seasons summer and winter.pepole lives aproximatelly until the 92- 102 years old.
it counts with the basic services like: Primary School,
electricity, Potable Watter, Telephone service, TV Cable.
One of the main Leaders in the comunity is the Sr. Herminio Munguia, Mr.Munguia has dedicated his life in looking progress for his Comunity, and the ones around the El Ocotal it is a Honnor to mention that Mr. Herminio Munguia is a Real Leader.
All the basics services that El Ocotal novadays counts with; we have to thanks to Mr. Herminio Munguia. He has moved SEE and EARTH to get what he has propused when El Ocotal didn't have access road He contact severals Oganizations and ask for help ones of those Organization was LA JUNTA NACIONAL DE BIENESTAR SOCIAL thru Father CASIMIRO a North amarican Priest and father IVAN BETANCOURT whom were killed in Olancho june of 1975 in LA MASACRE DE OLANCHO ( los Horcones HEADED BY THE FATHER OF MEL ZELAYA THE CURRENT PRESIDENT OF HONDURAS according to the news. Then his interests was to open a primary school and run potable water thru the village that took him 5 years going back and forth to Education Ministery and the SANAA to get the approval with the help of Mr. Ruben Valdez, the School was open, and the water run then after 12 years of fight with Goverment institutions He got the project for electrification. that was beneficials for 4 communities.
