Here are three of my favorite museums
There are so many and would love to hear about other favorites
The Musée d'Orsay (in English: The Orsay Museum) is housed in the former Orsay railway station. This is the best place to go to experience an extensive collection of impressionist masterpieces by some of the great painters, such as Monet and Renoir. The museum holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1914, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography.
The Musée du Louvre (in English: The Louvre Museum) located, in Paris France was previously a royal palace. It is one of the most visited and one of the oldest and largest culture and art museums. The musuem is conveniently located in the center of Paris, and is is accessed by the Palais Royal — Musée du Louvre Metro station. This is the place to come to enjoy many of the most prestigious works of art, such as Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, The Virgin and Child with St. Anne, Madonna of the Rocks, and Alexandros of Antioch's Venus de Milo.
The Centre Georges Pompidou (in English: The Pompidou Centre) The museum opened in January 1977, and it was named after Georges Pomidou, president of France from 1969-1974. It houses the Bibliothèque publique d'information, a vast public library, the Musée National d'Art Moderne, and IRCAM, a centre for music and acoustic research. We had so much fun with all the interactive activities at Pomidou.
