General Information

The Burj Al Arab is a 5 star Deluxe hotel in the United Arab Emirates. Built in 1999, the Burj Al Arab was constructed over a five year period and has an architecture that resembles a billowing sail. It took two years just to reclaim the land from the sea, then slightly less than three to construct the building.

Suites

The hotel offers 202 deluxe suites each with a private butler and floor to ceiling glass windows overlooing the Arabian Gulf. Each suite is decorated with opulent textures and vibrant colours. They feature living and dining areas, 1 to 3 bedrooms, state of the art entertainment system and office facilities. The rooms are equipped with push button technology that does everything from controlling the 42 inch Plasma screen TV to closing the curtains.

Dining

There are six dining options - restaurants and bars - including the Al Mahara, an award winning seafood restaurant with Asian and Western influences. Other cuisines include Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern, and Contemporary European.

Activities

Activities at the Burj Al Arab include high-end retail shops, the Assawan Spa and Health Club, water sports, golf, sightseeing, and the Wild Wadi Waterpark. All guests have access to the hotel's private white sand beach. Guests are also free to use a variety of additional facilities and the nearby Jumeirah Beach Hotel. For those with children - very welcome at the Burj Al Arab - their are babysitting services and free access to Sinbad's Kids Club at the Jumeirah.

Luxury Services

In addition to the above, the hotel offers numerous luxury services desined to ensure the privacy and comfort of every guest. One such service is a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce, available at a charge. Guests enjoy discrete in-suite check in and a private reception desk on every floor.
