Modran

A populated town in Republika Srpska, Bosnia And Herzegovina (near city of Bijeljina). Located 12km south of the city of Bijeljina in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Modran is situated on a major regional road that stretches 4.5km between Janja and Suvo Polje. It is part of the municipality of Bijeljina which lies on the flat rich planes of Semberija.

Modran is divided up into five parts: Kozluchani, Srednji Modran, Donja Mala, Obadice and Bukova Greda. There are 2 rivers that run through Modran, river Janja, and the smaller river Modran. The population census in 1991 showed Modran had 1411 inhabitants. 1398 were Serbs, 2 were Croats, and 11 were of other nationalities. Today the municipality of Bijeljina has between 125 000-150 000 inhabitants making Bijeljina the second biggest city in the Republika Srpska, second behind Banja Luka.
