Gloss or not?

by Tung Nguyen, Tue 04 of Dec, 2012 (20:50 UTC)
I'm new to this. I just want to know if express and premium paper glossy or not? I'm looking to print an architectural portfolio and the requirement is not to use gloss paper. Can you recommend which one for me to choose?

Tung,

Greetings from Viovio!

You can read all about our Premium Photo Paper here: http://www.viovio.com/wiki/Viovio+Premium and our Express Photo Paper here: http://www.viovio.com/wiki/Express+Printing

Our Express Photo Papers have more of a sheen and less of a gloss. The Premium Photo Paper is more glossy. Both are photo papers and excellent options!

I've had a photobook done before by another company and although the production picked up the detail it wasn't as clear as on my monitor. I would like to try your Premium product. If I send a JPEG can you send me a sample page print?
Thanks,
JM

Greetings from Viovio, and thank you so much for your interest!

We work hard to keep our prices low for our customers, and have some of the most competitive prices on the market!

One of the ways we are able to achieve this is by not offering paper samples. For customers that are interested we encourage you to make a sample project. This would enable to you to see the excellent quality of our papers!
Example a 10 page 9x7 softcover ranging from $9.99-$14.99 (USD) can be ordered in Premium Photo Paper, Express Photo Satin, and Express photo Silk.

If you are interested you can get started using our Free online book creation software here: http://www.viovio.com/designer/
Or you can upload a PDF here: http://www.viovio.com/products/pdf/

Matte?

by , Tue 06 of Mar, 2012 (08:00 UTC)
What is the difference between the regular hardcover and the matte option? I've tried clicking on the matte link and keeping getting a page not found error. Also, why does the type of cover affect the price per page? Thanks!

Re: Matte?

by Viovio Support, Tue 06 of Mar, 2012 (14:58 UTC)
Greetings from Viovio, thank you for your interest!

The reason for this is because the Matte is a brand new product option for us and we don't have it's demo pages up yet! Product shots coming soon!!

All of our covers up to this point have had a glossy finish, viewable above on this page. The Matte cover does not have any sheen.

The matte cover is a different printing process with different prices associated.

If you have any further questions please let us know.

250 pages of Premium photobook?

by JJ Wang, Fri 30 of Dec, 2011 (18:19 UTC)
Hi,

I plan to to prepare a 250 pages Hardcover Premiun photobook.
Is it doable? If not what is the maximum pages I can put in a Premiun photobook?

Thanks.

JJ

Hi JJ,

Our imagewrap hardcovers have a binding maximum of 440 pages. However, with large books, we often recommend creating 2 volumes. This eases pressure on the spine, and also makes the books more affordable if you damage or lose one in the future.

Let us know if you need anything else!
