Have you worked with Creative Memories' Storybook Creator Plus software? It is very easy to use (much easier I think than Photoshop Elements) and can convert to a pdf file easily. You can use it with other digital elements (kits and brushes). They have a free download for the original software that you can only use to make their books, but it really shines with the upgrade to Plus. At least you can try out software to play with it, and if you like it, buy the upgrade where you can print off single pages or a whole album. Plus they have free digital kits online you can download.
