The new Digital Download service looks interesting, though I was also thinking of posting "free" eBooks for whomever wants to see it.
Do I need a Retailer Account for that and if so how much storage would this account give me? Or is the Retailer Account designed to be added to a "storage" (e.g. Supporter) account?
I would be interested in putting a short Baja hike travelog eBook together to it try out - for sale or not.

This is a great idea, Dave. With our new Digital Download prodoucts we quietly released into beta last week, this is a perfect match!

If you are looking to publish one, or can generate some interest in groups you participate, please let us know! We would love to have some more people using our new digital services.

PDF E-Books

Hey, I ran across a really neat idea for presenting travel photo galleries onto a computer. Here's a sharp looking idea!

The October 2007 issue of Outdoor Photographer had an article on creating "E-books". Here is the article:

The idea is to put together a PDF document that is primarily designed to be downloaded or presented on a web-site where the user steps through one "page" at a time. This is attractive to me as I like to add (sometimes long) text to describe the shot location or environment. The E-books can easily be made available for sale. The article is written by Linde Waidhofer - a free example of her amazing presentation is available at the link below. She also has a bit of explanation of the E-book thing here.

Here is another site that sells E-Books:

I guess the E-book PDF files can be done on VioVio ........ except........ for the limit on a individual file size?

If you get a chance, its worth a look.

Best Regards, ................... Dave
