It's So Hard to Say Goodbye

It's the end of an era folks. The man has done it again and for the last time. Lance Armstrong has taken his seventh victory of the super bowl of cycling events. Never again will he put on that yellow jersey, at least not in public, he might actually wear it around the mansion when he gets lonely and nostalgic, or maybe on Halloween when he takes his kids trick or treating ... but, I digress. I don't believe there was a question in anyone's mind as to whether he could pull off the lucky number seven. And, he did it all with only one and half stage wins - half being that his team won the TTT. I actually feel special to be part of a generation that got to witness a true hero. I don't know of any other athlete that has beat cancer and come back to break and set records in his sport's toughest competition. He is truly an icon and someone to be admired. What will he do with his retirement? I imagine he will devote the majority if his time to his family and his foundation, the LAF. And, we hope he'l keep riding as long as he is able because lord knows the last thing we need is another Bob Roll.

For those of you that are thinking "what will I do without the Tour? How will I live without Sarah's Cyclog?" No worries! There's always next year.
